May Favorites: The Hella Late Edition!

Well hello there peeps!

Peeps? What? Seriously?

No I didn't fall off the face of the planet, though it may have seemed like it this month.

Let me tell ya, I first filmed my monthly favs on June 3rd, right out the gate, on time, good youtuber and blogger blah blah blah right.......ok.  Went to edit it and the lighting was TERRIBLE I looked yellow, my teeth everything is just wasn't good at all.  So about the 14th I re filmed it, was to go....then it sat and sat and sat on my computer to be edited, but I either never got the chance, forgot about it, or I was just being lazy and didn't feel like it.  

Then today I was sitting here and BAM! It hit me it's the 23rd of June, I need to start compiling a list for my June favs, but wait oh shit! I still haven't uploaded my May Favs.  Ugh I suck at life and YouTube and blogging, but alas better late than never right?!

Let's Talk About/Demo: Covergirl Super Sizer Mascara

Hey Lovelies!!

Lots of new drugstore makeup coming out all over the place it seems, have you guys been scoping it out.  Laawd knows I have and some of it I'm interested in trying, some of it I'm just kinda thinking nope, keep it moving.  

This mascara caught my eye,The Covergirl Super Sizer Mascara. I kept seeing people talk about how they were getting it sent to them along with an eyeliner that was coming out too.  Then I saw it in stores and I snatched it right up.  I didn't open it right away.  I started watching videos, reviews about the mascara and demos to see what others thoughts were.

My Thoughts:

It claims to give you 400% more volume, corner to corner. 

Also it says to use a kind of twirling motion when you apply it.

400% more volume? No, no it does not.  Now don't get it wrong, it does give you pretty decent volume.  Not very much length though.

The twirling acting is a joke, well at least for me it was.  I don't even bother with it, I just put this mascara on the same way I put any other on.  I tried the whole "twirling action" and it clumped the hell out of my lashes, especially at the base and I ended up looking like I had 4 lashes.

So my advice is, if you like clumpier looking lashes go for twirling, if not maybe twirl one time, then apply it your regular way.

All in all, if you have been eyeing this mascara give it a try, go for it.  If you can't be bothered by it or you don't even care, then no worries, your not gonna die if you don't buy it.

Hair Care Routine/Products

Hey Lovies!!!

Sorry I've been MIA for a few weeks.  School got out, summer is here and my kids are running wild.

I have had a house full of people the last few weeks and then my grandmother passed away, so I'm helping my dad with that.  Also our baby girl had her 1st birthday, so we had her party and all that has been thrown in together the past week, so at this point I'm just trying not to lose my mind.

Getting back on track! I actually had a few minutes today to upload a video that I have had filmed and edited I just never had a chance to upload it, but today, I finally got the chance.

Lets Talk About: Maybelline The Blushed Nudes

Hey Lovelies!!!

So a few months back I was cruising instagram, surprise, surprise, and I kept seeing a few girls posting about this new palette that was coming out in the drugstore for spring.  And I was intrigued.

So, I kept my eyes peeled when I was at the store. Didn't see it. Then heard it was going to be  exclusive to Wal-mart. So again I kept looking for it.......

FINALLY, I Found it at my local Wal-Mart.

Now, first off let me just say that I do not own an

y of the other Maybelline palettes that have come out, I don't own the The Nudes, The Brights, or The Smokes.  But I have to say I am impressed with this palette.  

It's nothing life changing mind you, but for being from the drug store it's definitely, in my opinion a decent palette if you have been eyeing it.

 You get 12 shades, ranging from a light cream to a deep brown.  

They are mostly shimmer shades, I believe there is only 1 matte shade which is kinda a bummer as is the fact that it doesn't have a mirror.

The shadows themselves are pretty decent.  The color payoff is good.  The shadows are soft and blend-able. They actually blend out very nicely.  

They are pigmented well for drugstore shadows, nothing worth losing your mind over. They work well with a white base and obviously the color is going to be a bit more pigmented if you use one.

I give this palette a thumbs up.  If your just starting out with makeup or don't have very many palettes this could be a good one to grab and play around with.

Its under $10 and I'm not sure if its limited edition, but its no big deal if your not interested.  It's a good option because I know every drugstore makeup brand is coming out with a palette and this one is a better priced option.

Hope this mini review gives a little insight/helpful info about this palette and helps you in your decision to snatch it up or pass on it.  Either way it's makeup and makeup makes me happy lol.
